RadioMojo.com broadcasts from Northern Virginia near the Washinton, DC border and has been on air since January 2000. We play modern and alternative rock with some rap/electronica mixed in for good measure. Our staff is a young, talented group with diverse disciplines. The one thing we have in common is our love for rock music in a laid back setting. RadioMojo turns away from the hype of most stations to serve our listeners with unadultered, pure music in a relaxed, yet slightly biased, format.

RadioMojo.com emerged from three classmates that all grew up listening to the same radio station, although from three different states. The station was very laid back and not afraid to push the limits of playing new, unedited tracks from bands that were just jumping onto the scene. Bands like Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Helmet, etc. . . They'd throw in a good Beastie Boys song for fun, or someother rockish rap groove. The on air personalities were there for the music, not for the money. OK, well, they were there for the money, but they still cared about the songs and would pull tracks that weren't singles yet.

Although this station's format only lasted a few years, it was enough to instill the belief that music was music and not a commodity. RadioMojo.com is a child of these thoughts. Three buddies with the desire to tie music with technology and to open up listeners to the latest beats and the tried and true grooves of the past.

You like music? You stuck at work in a cubicle? You wanna hear the tracks that other stations aren't playing yet? Then plug in your headphones, crank up the volume and feel the Mojo.

Born in upstate New York, my family moved to Connecticut when I was 9. So after two states and 15 years of crappy Pop stations, my ears finally beheld true Rock from a NYC station, Q104.3. I was hooked. True, unedited, hard rock. Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Helmet. . . all in their first years of hitting the radio waves. So when I moved on to college in Washington, DC, I was elated to meet others that had the same experience from the same station. After a few beers, it was suggested an internet radio station be formed to bring back that true vision of rock. I signed up as fast as I could!
Like listening to rock music? Not affraid to take chances with your ears? Then you've come to the right place. Breath in, exhale and enjoy the Mojo.
